You can soon log in with your email on WhatsApp. This update, known as WhatsApp Beta for iOS (version 188.8.131.52), has just been released through the TestFlight beta program. It’s similar to a previous version for Android (184.108.40.206). Finally, you can link your email to your WhatsApp account. This is a common feature on many apps, but it was missing on WhatsApp. Now, it’s available for both Android and iOS.
The process is quite simple, as you can see in the pictures. You can easily add your email address. After that, You then need to confirm your email address. This allows you to access and recover your account if needed. But remember, this doesn’t replace your phone number. You still need your phone number to access your account.
You can choose not to use this email feature if you don’t want to. However, it can be helpful to have your email linked to WhatsApp. It gives you more options when you need a 6-digit verification code.
