Leo Worldwide Box Office Collection Vijay’s film becomes highest grossing Tamil film ever

Thalapathy Vijay’s action thriller ‘Leo’ did really well in its first week in India. It made more than 264 crore rupees. But as it entered the second week, it didn’t do as well. On Friday, October 27, it earned about 7 crore rupees, according to early estimates from industry tracker Sacnilk.

When the movie was first released on October 19, it made 64.80 crore rupees. On the first Friday, it earned 34.25 crore rupees. Then on the first Saturday, it got 38.30 crore rupees. Sunday was even better with 39.80 crore rupees. On the first Monday, it made 34.10 crore rupees. Tuesday brought in 30.70 crore rupees. Wednesday had 13.40 crore rupees. Thursday got 8.90 crore rupees. Now, it’s estimated to have earned around 7 crore rupees on its second Friday.

The movie “Leo” has earned a total of 271 crore rupees in India. On October 27, in Tamil, about 29.27 percent of the seats were filled, in Telugu, it was about 31.46 percent, and in Hindi, it was about 11.33 percent.

The film is on its way to making 500 crore rupees globally. The production company, Seven Screen Studio, shared this news on X (formerly Twitter), stating that “Leo” has already made over 461 crore rupees worldwide. They also mentioned that this is the highest amount ever earned by a Tamil movie. The movie “Leo,” directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, pays tribute to the 2005 film “A History of Violence.” It tells the story of Parthiban ‘Parthi’ Das, a calm café owner who becomes a local hero after a violent incident. This incident also attracts the attention of a drug cartel, who believe he used to be a part of their group.

This film is the second collaboration between Lokesh Kanagaraj and Thalapathy Vijay, following their 2021 superhit “Master.” It also marks Sanjay Dutt’s debut in the Tamil film industry. The movie stars Thalapathy Vijay, Trisha Krishnan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priya Anand, and Mysskin in important roles. “Leo” was released in theaters worldwide on October 19 in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada.
